Pamiętam opowieść o chłopczyku zwisającym z drzewa, o wielkim rysowanym pejzażu w HD, o płótnach, rzeźbach z kruczymi skrzydłami, wypalanymi miskami, abstrakcją, liśćmi… masakra – tyle tego,Read more

Nadchodząca wystawa w Muzeum Nauki w Londynie
18:00 wRead more
XIX century Photo Techniques: Collodion, Albumen & Oil Print: Dorota Dawidowicz, Janusz Witkowski & Janusz Sochacki
It’s an next episode, I continue the travel through the old techniques finding myself in the opportunities that are given to me. Last time I saw Talbot’s works which inspired me a lot for things that I’ve already started to create. For now it will be a private project but, who knows – maybe it will be worth showing later on. The collodion process is an early photographic process, said to have been invented, almost simultaneously, by Frederick Scott Archer andRead more
William Henry Fox Talbot: Dawn of Photography – exhibition
This Wednesday I’ve been at the London Science Museum to check out the new exhibition of William Henry Fox Talbot: Dawn of Photography. In the nineteenth century, as the industrial revolution boomed, Fox Talbot revolutionised culture and communications by inventing the negative-positive process, a technique that formed the basis of photography around the world for over 150 years and immortalised him as father of the photograph. At the exhibition I’ve finally saw REAL Talbotypes, Talbotype negatives and they even had Daguerreotypes whichRead more
Core Skills Assessment
Busy week but I’ve made it! This week was the time for Core Skills and my home studio portraits. I was presenting my works in Romero Court at Roehampton University. I’ve wanted to make something in high-key with a colour contrast. Unfortunately I had only one Speedlight so I didn’t manage to acquire the high-key effect (not enough light for the background although it was white, not grey) but it looks nice anyway. I had this idea like one year agoRead more
Genre Assessment
This week with my fellow colleagues I was presenting my work at the Roehampton University, at the Romero Court during a assessment from a module called “Genre”. For my genre I’ve chosen Portraits as I really enjoy making them and interactions with the people, magic! At the beginning I didn’t have a clue what could I do for my portraits, I’ve began to make some research and I’ve ended with few ideas, but I’ve chosen to make superimpositions as I alwaysRead more
The Photographers’ Gallery (July – October 2015)
Today I’ve visited with my fellow colleagues “The Photographers’ Exhibition” near Oxford Circus. In the largest public gallery in London there were many good works that I encourage you to see. For me, the best ones was those of: Ryan McGinley and Shirley Baker. Ryan McGinley exposed 9 well framed portraits of young people having fun at music Concerts. I like this set of Photographs, because of well portrayed people. It gives me this nice and warm energy of being at a ConcertRead more
